Abaad 3D E-Commerce App

Abaad is a 3D-based e-commerce mobile application designed to help users make confident purchasing decisions when shopping for electronic devices. The app allows users to explore products from all angles, understand size and port layout, and review key features visually — reducing uncertainty and the need to visit physical stores. The interface focuses on clarity, smooth navigation, and quick access to product information to support a seamless decision-making experience.

PROBLEM

Users often hesitate to purchase electronic devices online because product photos and specifications alone do not provide enough clarity about the device’s size, ports, and physical details. This lack of visual understanding leads to uncertainty and the need to visit physical stores before making a decision.

RESULTS

Interactive prototype design (34 screens in one week).

Scalable design system (25+ components).

Two visual themes (Light & Dark).

Consistent branding across colors, type, and icons.

Understanding the Pain Points

Users expressed hesitation when purchasing electronic devices through e-commerce apps because product images and specifications alone do not provide a realistic understanding of the device’s size, shape, or port layout. They often watch review videos or visit physical stores before making a final decision. In addition, many users discover new devices through short-form content on platforms like TikTok and Instagram, then search for the product afterward in e-commerce apps. These behaviors highlight two core pain points: a lack of visual clarity and limited ways to explore and discover products within the app itself.

Designing for Clarity

To address these challenges, the design focused on providing a 3D interactive product view that allows users to examine the device from all angles and gain confidence before purchasing. A dedicated Explore section featuring short product video reels was added to support natural discovery patterns. Additionally, a dynamic bottom navigation search action was introduced—similar to modern mobile OS search triggers—to offer quicker access to search and relevant product suggestions. These design decisions aimed to create a browsing and decision-making experience that feels clear, intuitive, and trustworthy.

In Conclusion

The Ab’Ad concept wasn’t just about improving the look of an e-commerce app—it was about giving users the confidence to make informed decisions. By addressing the lack of visual clarity, simplifying the product exploration journey, and aligning the experience with real user behavior, we created a clearer, more intuitive way to shop for electronic devices. The result is a product experience where users can understand the device before they buy it—reducing uncertainty and making the online purchase feel as natural and reassuring as seeing it in person.
